Ricky told me that Beech Bend officials told him that he had to remove his wings by next Friday. First let me say I have no money or no ties to this car. But I think that Beech Bend should look at this decision and change their minds. This car had wings when Jerry Newkirk #10 from Louisville owned and drove the car and he was allowed to race it, by the way he didn't wins as many races as Ricky has, so is it wings or driver? And Ricky has been allowed to race them wings over half the 2007 season with only nine races left you tell him to remove them? Change the rules in the middle of the season? I know this post may not help get them wings left on the car, but I hope maybe it will. Please look at my poll question and vote. Ricky and all the Dickens have raced the eight for years and is this anyway to treat faithful drivers. PLEASE DALLAS & BEECH BEND LET THE WINGS STAY THIS YEAR.

odell you are wrong the wings were on the back of the car but the roof peice was not it came off the white car that artie drove and dominated with. And all the drivers at beech bend that drives f8 where complaining about so you need to get things right before posting them

Thanks to the anonymous who set me straight on the wings. I did get a phone call Saturday and was told that the roof wing was not on the car when Jerry drove at Beech Bend, but that Artie did drive it here. Please anonymous post your real name so that I know who is really up to date on the racing stuff. Now that that has been said let me still say this. I have nothing against any of you figure-8 drivers and owners. My wife and I party with Wayne Green and Lisa at the Harley races and have a blast. I have rode my Harley with Bubbio and enjoyed that. Ricky Dickens helped me with putting on new skin on my race car and we ride Harley's together and that is fun. Mike Mason and I have shared a garage together back a few years ago and had alot of fun. BUT I STILL DON'T THINK THAT IF YOU LET A CAR START THE SEASON WITH WINGS AND HE HAS NOT WON ALL THE RACES THE POINTS ARE CLOSE WITH RICKY AND DENNIS, THEN YOU LET HIM FINISH THE SEASON AND THEN TALK ABOUT OUTLAWING WINGS AT THE BBR RULES MEETINGS IN DECEMBER FOR 2008. I don't think there should be a rule change during the middle of the season. If there is going to be a rule change for this car it needs to be done at the beginning of the race season.

from cbates4, I dont have a dog in this fight but in my humble opinion there are more gains to be made at BBR with weight than there ever will be with downforce or aero.That being said,if someone is going to complain , maybe they should quit trying to get him to take parts OFF of the car.

hey guys you should have known by now beech bend raceway is not a normal racetrack not one car owner or driver makes enough money racing out there. half the time they can't replace any parts on there car even if they win i would really bet not one driver out there can say they have really come out ahead at beech bend track if they count the money in the cars and what they take home remember to count the 20 dallors you and everyone on your crew have paid to get in and your gas to run and then all other expenses you put in your car can you say you are a head or in the hole their is alot of arguing that you do out there but if you drivers put as much energy and determination into getting dallaces making him pay more instead making you drivers fork out more money all the time beech bend wouldn't be know the problem track it could be some where you could be proud to race. you should consider trying to get one another every week only puts money in dallace pocket but do you all see any of it no i know they don't run the track fair they run it to benfit them only the drivers can change that you all put on a good show and i have watched some of the best out there and hey i like ricky he seems to race pretty good and mostly clean that i saw i have watched doodles hey don't get me wrong i really like and respect doodles and his wife very much and i loved seeing doodle win i think its cool the way he sings . i like zoomie i noticed he drives well and my hats off to zoomie the way he's done a great job with his life keep up the good work zoomie don't let them get to you they want to provoke you so they don't have to compete with you that all mike i know can drive not one of my favorites but a good driver if you would drive to win and leave everybody else alone and stop trying to provoke people nobody hates you out there everybody says you are a good driver figure eight drivers could put a very good show and not have to tear up everybodies car man that is so stupid have you ever thought about the small kids that admire you out there well maybe you really should and for the guys that have people that actually throw there money away that build your cars or helps you in anyway you really should thank them even if you don't win they really don't have to put money in the trash for u and its throwing it away as long as you come out at the end of the season in the hole how many has paid off there boxes yet don't that suck what are you guys going to do about it nothing of course racing is an addiction and dallace knows that . best of luck all drivers especially to the ones that race clean melisa

You can tell some people post and don't know what they are talking about when you say this car is an open wheel. There was never this much commotion when the Louisville Guys were racing. Good Luck Ricky, I hope you blow them off the track, and I am sure they will find something else to complain about.
