POSTED 4/30/07 POSTING RULES FOR THIS BLOG SITE

Hey folks, thanks for all the posting. I really hope this site can bring everyone closer to the racers and the track. I know that alot of you have very strong opinions about different subjects, drivers, wrecks and etc.. I do ask that you try to be as civil as possible. One thing that I will not allow on this site is some curse words and or foul words. Please feel free to post, but remember that children do read this site and also I am trying my best to make Stock Car Racing a family sport in this area. I'd like to remind you also that a lot of sponsors and potential sponsors read this blog. So please, lets keep it clean. I have the right and may remove any post that I feel should not be on this site. Thank You very much, Odell Turner

POSTED 4/28/07 MARR-STENCIL WRECK?

I didn't see this on track deal. I heard that the #11 of Danny Marr got into the #10 of Joey Stencil. This happened in the modified street class. This class has some very fast and good looking car's. I think you will see some close racing every Friday night. Good Luck Guys!

POSTED 4/28/07 GLASS-YOUNG WRECK?

Modified Street had a lot of racing action. Tony Rothe won in his #44 Chevy, but Jimmy Glass in his #2 Chevy and Daniel Young in his #9 Chevy had a wreck on the back stretch. I didn't see this happen but talked to a lot of people and was told that Jimmy Glass #2 was apparently making a turn right off the track on the back stretch and slowed. Young was running in the third spot and was up at speed and had no time to slow or stop. Young hit Glass and spun him around to which the rear of Jimmy's #2 chevy came to rest on the outside retaining wall. The #2 Chevy had some heavy damage. Jimmy showed his displeasure with Young's driving by waving his fist at Daniel Young. Daniel continued on and finished second. (This is my opinion: If Jimmy was indeed turning off the track from the back stretch and not going to the center of the track where you are to go if you need to exit the track then I think Daniel was not at fault. Jimmy has raced for years and knows you do not exit from the track during a race or practice without going to the middle and waiting until the race is over. However we all make mistakes. Remember this is only my opinion and you are invited to send you input on this or any other matter.)

POSTED 4/28/07 JOHNSON - TURNER WRECK?

Well the first race of 2007 season was the sportsman class and it had some action! William Johnson was involved in a spin out after a few laps. William Johnson and Ronnie Presley had battled for a few lap's, Ronnie passed Willaim and then William Passed Ronnie back. Then a few laps later it appears that the #18 of Presley hit Johnson in the rear and spun him out in turns 3 & 4 causing # 03 Rick Stamper to loop his car around too. Then the caution comes out and that is where the Johnson-Turner deal happened. From my seat and after watching the video this is my story, talking to a lot of people at the track it appears that William was trying to speed up to either bump the #18 of Presley or just hurry up and get in line as I was, when all at once they just stopped dead still in front of me at that point I hit my brake petal and it went all the way to the floor. Most racer's know me and I do not simply run over other racers and Willie and I are or were friends and I hope we are still friends. I went to Williams pits after the wreck to apologize and tell him what happen, he was still mad and told me to get out of his pits and would not except my apology. I can understand him being mad, I probably would be too if I was him. I hope after a day or two and he has cooled down that Willie will call me to talk about this. But if he doesn't that is all I can do. So at this point it is over for my part. Call me Willie.
