POSTED 4-1-09 ARCA RE/MAX SERIES NEWS

Kimmel Racing Ramped Up with New Title Sponsor Headed to SalemKentuckiana Ford Dealers 200 Coming Sunday, April 5 SALEM IN (3-31-09) - When the newly-formed Kimmel Racing rolled through the gates at Salem Speedway in last year's ARCA RE/MAX Series race, they had no title sponsor and no idea how they were going to get through the year. Still yet, Frank and his brother/crew chief Bill Kimmel soldiered through the season, won three races - including the fall event at Salem - and finished second in championship points, just 50 markers away from 2008 series champ Justin Allgaier. But oh what a difference one year can make. Enter 2009 when Kimmel Racing is wicked up with a brand new title sponsor - Ansell-Menards. From here, the sky is surely the limit. "This sponsorship program reenergized the entire Kimmel Racing organization," Kimmel said. "The support of Ansell Gloves and Menards allows us to continue to pursue our goals of attempting to earn another ARCA RE/MAX Series championship." Kimmel's championship quest continues this weekend at his hometown Salem Speedway where the Kentuckiana Ford Dealers 200 presented by Federated Car Care rolls off Sunday afternoon, April 5, the 85th appearance of the series at Salem since 1955. Thanks to Ansell and Menards, Kimmel Racing's immediate goals for this season - win races, a 10th championship and top the all-time win record - are, without question, within reach. In addition, the long term goal to build a strong ARCA team that can win with whoever might be the driver seems more attainable with the support of such key sponsors. "With my son, Frank II, and Bill's son, Will moving up and doing a great job winning races and championships, the future of Kimmel Racing is in them," added Frank. "I feel like Kimmel Racing can carry me to the end of my career and can also be the beginning of Frank II and Will's career. That's why we're working so hard to build Kimmel Racing." Born and raised in nearby Clarksville, Indiana, Kimmel's the hometown favorite at Salem if there ever was one, which means throngs of fans always pour through the gates at the renowned, legendary short-track wearing their favorite Frank t-shirt, ready to root on their local hero. He's also become the villain - the guy the other half loves to hate. And there's no in between. You're either on his side or you're not. "It's kind of neat, really," said Kimmel, a 9-time winner at Salem. "Half the people there are rooting for me and the other half aren't, and they're not afraid to let you know. It seems about half and half these days. Either way, I think they know we're there." Not only are the race fans keenly aware of Kimmel's Salem presence, so are the very best teams in the ARCA RE/MAX Series, who know as well as anyone that he's always the guy to beat when the gates open up at Salem. In addition to chasing an unprecedented 10th series championship, Kimmel, with 74 career wins, is currently second on the all-time series win list, trailing Iggy Katona's all-time mark of 79 wins. "It's hard to believe we've won that many; it's unreal. But I'd definitely like to surpass Iggy's record. It's a huge deal for me." This Sunday's race marks Kimmel's 31st ARCA start at Salem since 1992. "The competition is getting tougher and tougher all the time over here. And, getting back to Salem, that old track isn't getting any easier. That track is just so challenging, so much to do, so much to think about. It's a lot of fun, but the minute you think it's easy, you're in a wreck. "As much as we love to race all the guys in this series, at Salem, you have to race the track. If you get to racing each other, you're probably gunna be in the middle of wreck. That track is that challenging, and the minute you take your mind off it, that's when you wreck." On-track activity at Salem begins Saturday, April 4 with ARCA RE/MAX Series practice from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM followed by Menards Pole Qualifying presented by Ansell at 3:30 PM ET. The Kentuckiana Ford Dealers 200 presented by Federated Car Care takes the green flag at 2:15 PM ET Sunday, April 5. POSTED 3-31-09 NEWS RELEASE FROM IOFS SERIES

FENWICK SET TO RETURN IN 2009Indianapolis, IN - March 30, 2009 - IOFS (International Outlaw Figure 8 Series) officials announced today that veteran Rich Fenwick will be behind the wheel full-time with the newly formed IOFS series. Fewick will make his return at the season opener May 3rd at Kentucky Motor Speedway in Whitesville, KY.Fenwick, the 1994 National Figure 8 champ, has only competed twice since his retirement in 2001. “The two Outlaw races they had at Anderson last year are what got me excited about getting back in it “insists Fenwick. " I've been wanting to run Anderson with these cars again, so it was perfect timing".Car owner, Steve Brown, has told Fenwick to run when he wants to. Fenwick stated that he will run the entire IOFS campaign and a few of the bigger events at the Edco Welding Indianapolis Speedrome. “You can’t pass up on an option like that. I might end up doing a couple of races at the Drome, maybe the big ones" explained Fenwick.Fenwick has stayed involved in the sport since his 2001 retirement. He has been busy building cars for such notable drivers as: Robbie Loving, Rodney Sizemore, Leonard Basham, Charlie Hargraves, and Jeff Hizer. He estimates that he has built around twenty-five cars during this time. Fenwick is quick to point out that he currently has cars competing in Michigan, Florida and Indiana." So far this has been a bad year for me building cars. This is the first year since I've been doing this that I haven’t built anybody a car".As the new season approaches Fenwick explains he feels great since a surgery two years ago. “I feel like I'm twenty years old again" he states proudly. Fenwick is also excited about the formation of the new IOFS series. “Right now is the time for it to take off. If Charlie (Hargraves) and Dave (Sink) are honest and straight up with everyone, it will work. Now is the time to capitalize on it and make it work. There is really nowhere for us to run these type of cars so the timing may be perfect".**************************************************************************************IN OTHER IOFS NEWS - IOFS and Anderson Speedway officials have confirmed that they have had conversations with representatives of California driver ' Barefoot ' Billy Ziemann's crew. Ziemann has indicated that he will return to the Midwest this fall and plans on competing in the October 10th IOFS season ending event at Anderson Speedway. Authorized AMSOIL dealer, Elmer Schaeffer, has committed as this award sponsor. " We are really excited that Mr. Schaeffer has agreed to sponsor our ' Hard Charger ' award at each race this season" explained Managing Partner, David Sink. " AMSOIL is by far one of the best lubrication products in the industry as well as everyday use. We are honored Mr. Schaeffer has expressed an interest in what we are doing. This should be a great partnership" concluded Sink. Plans currently call for the ' Hard Charger ' recipient to pick up a $100 certificate at each race towards AMSOIL product. Go to: www.lubedealer.com/zoilracing/ for more info on AMSOIL and Elmer Schaeffer.Series Director, Charlie Hargraves, has indicated that there will be more tires available April 1st. POSTED 3-30-09 CAROLINA 200 UPDATE

Three More Teams Test for the Carolina 200 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CONTACT: Charles Hudson 910-205-8800 ROCKINGHAM, N.C. (March 30, 2009) – With the Carolina 200 less than three weeks away, many teams have started to focus on the ARCA RE/MAX Series events at the Rockingham Speedway. Cunningham Motorsports had two cars testing today to prepare for the April 19th Carolina 200. Series veteran Ken Weaver was driving one of the cars while 18-year old Parker Kligerman – a developmental driver for Penske Racing was driving the other car. Joining the two Cunningham Motorsports cars was Grant Enfinger who will be making his second start in the ARCA RE/MAX Series at the Carolina 200. Ken Weaver: “Things happen really fast, I like those kinds of tracks but it seemed really important to come here and test because I am always faster when I come back. We ran a 25.10 this morning so my first time here I feel really good about it, we are trying a lot of things with the car so I really haven’t settled in to a feel yet with the car and as soon as we get that I think we will be more consistent. I feel really fortunate to come run somewhere that has so much history.” Parker Kligerman: “This is a cool track – it is the first track I have been to that has the down force equation into it so that is the first time I have felt the down force in these cars and that was astonishing and we have been fighting the tire wear a little bit and learning to change my lines around the track as the tires wear out but it is a cool track and I like it, it’s fast.” Grant Enfinger: “So far so good, it is really our second race and my second race in this car so we are just working some kinks out of me and I think the car is pretty close and I think we have a pretty good race car. The track is definitely different from anything I have raced before, coming from the late models, most of our stuff is a half-mile and I have never quite been on something with quite this much banking but I seem to be getting comfortable.” Carolina 200 race weekend kicks off on Friday April 17th with Thunderfest in downtown Rockingham from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. There will be a hauler parade through downtown Rockingham at noon on Friday for the day-long celebration as well as most of the drivers signing autographs at 6:00 p.m. On track activities begin Friday as well with UARA practice and qualifying. Saturday April 18th will feature the UARA race and practice and qualifying for the ARCA cars. The Carolina 200 is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Sunday April 19th. Reserved seat tickets for the Carolina 200 start at $20 with kids 12 and under admitted for only $15 in any section with paid adult but with the Buy For Sunday, Bonus For Saturday ticket promotion that runs until April 10th, fans will receive a free UARA race ticket. After April 10th, tickets for the UARA race and ARCA practice and qualifying are only $15 in advance or $20 the day of the race with kids 12 and under free with a paid adult for general admission seating. PHOTO BY ODELL PHOTO BY ODELL
The rain came on Friday and kept the Harley's off the race track. In the top photo you can see that the race teams were on hand for this race in Bowling Green. This will be the first race of the 2009 season for the AMRA series. Event organizers hope to qualify on Saturday and race on Sunday. However, the weather forecast this morning (Saturday) doesn't look very promising either. I talked to Dallas Jones, owner of Beech Bend Raceway Park and he said, " I can't control mother nature, so we will just have to wait and see what this weather does." I didn't get a chance to talk to Marty VandenHeuvel, President of the AMRA to get his input, but did see him talking to some of the folks at the AMRA trailer. So in short, it is just wait and see what the weather does to the Bowling Green area. As of this writing the plan is to try to get the race in even if it is all in one day, maybe Sunday or Monday. Keep your fingers crossed. See you at the Bend.

POSTED 3-25-09 ARCA RE/MAX SERIES NEWS RELEASE

Ken Schrader Enters ARCA RE/MAX Series Salem Race Several Test in Prep for Kentuckiana Ford Dealers 200 by Federated Car Care April 5 SALEM, IN (3-25-09) - Salem Speedway is definitely open for business, as is Ken Schrader Racing; and both are planning to unite for the upcoming Sunday afternoon April 5th Kentuckiana Ford Dealers 200 presented by Federated Car Care. In the meantime, several ARCA RE/MAX Series teams are testing on the historic, half-mile, high-banked oval position in the same southern Indiana soil since 1947. Soddy Daisy, Tennessee veteran Ron Cox, in Wayne Hixson's familiar 23 car, had the distinction of being first on the track at Salem in 2009 Tuesday, March 17th. Joining Cox, who finished 17th in the 2008 spring ARCA race at Salem, was his 17-year-old cousin and rookie Jody Hixson, who hopes to make his career-first series start Sunday, April 5th at Salem. Hixson is the nephew of team owner Wayne Hixson. Eddie Sharp Racing (ESR), with its fleet of short-track Toyotas, got on track last Thursday afternoon with three rookies - Craig Goess, Steve Arpin and Tim George, Jr. "Everything went fine," said Patrick Donahue, crew chief for ESR rookie Goess. "We know what everyone's got (in reference to the 3 team cars). They'll be a couple things to cut up on the car, but no big deal. "Our times today were consistent. Our cars are working very well. The time and speed wasn't there like it was - I don't know what's changed - but we know our cars are good." Nine-time Salem winner and nine-time series champion Frank Kimmel, the most recent winner at Salem (September '08), tested the car he calls "The Don" Friday (March 20). Kimmel posted back-to-back wins in "The Don" in 2008 at the Illinois State Fairgrounds and DuQuoin State Fairgrounds; and then followed up with victory at Salem, breaking a four-year Salem winless streak. The Salem win came on his father's 80th birthday. "We're not going to try anything new or radical set-up wise," said Kimmel. "We just want to make sure there are no issues with "The Don". No leaks. Make sure the brakes are working right. Just generally shake down the car so we're not spending time with those types of issues on race weekend." Ken Schrader has not tested; however he was one of the first to file an entry for the race. Schrader has 15 career ARCA RE/MAX Series victories over the years, just one of which came at Salem 10 years ago in the fall of 1999. Now flash ahead 10 years. "Anyone who thinks they can just drop in on an ARCA race and clean up, had better re-think that one," said Schrader. "It's flat tough to win over there, especially at Salem. "There was a time when you could pick your way through an ARCA field, but not anymore. It's hard enough to stay on the lead lap at Salem, let alone win there. But we'll give it our best. We love the track, and we love the series. The competition is more intense than some may think." Other teams scheduled to test at Salem include Win-Tron Racing (driver Matt Merrell), Sheltra Motorsports (driver Patrick Sheltra), Cunningham Motorsports (driver Ken Weaver) and Capital City Motorsports (driver Kyle Wilson). Outside of some occasional downtime when the track changed ownership, the series has been a staple at Salem since 1955. In fact, no track has appeared more on the ARCA RE/MAX Series schedule over the years than Salem. This year's Kentuckiana Ford Dealers 200 by Federated Car Care represents the 85th appearance of the ARCA RE/MAX Series at Salem. Past RE/MAX Series winners at Salem include NASCAR Cup champion Bobby Allison, six-time ARCA national champ Iggy Katona, three-time series champs Jack Bowsher and Tim Steele, '52 Indy 500 winner Troy Ruttman and USAC stock car veteran/champion Don White. 27 RE/MAX Series races have been won from the pole at Salem. Tickets, both reserved and general admission, are currently selling for the April 5th Kentuckiana Ford Dealers ARCA 200 presented by Federated Car Care. In those 175 starts he has amassed 75 wins, 157 top-ten finishes, 21 pole awards, and 7 championships. This would be a proud record for a driver of any age, let alone a 19 year old. His climb to the top started with open-wheeled karts in the Kentucky Karting Association where he finished 2nd in points in his first season. He then progressed to Mini-Cup Cars in the MMRA Series where he won the track championship at Beech Bend Raceway in both 2000 and 2001. In 2003-2004 Oliver made the leap to legend cars in the Semi-Pro division. Competing in races within the KY, IN, OH, and TN areas Dillon managed to win an astonishing 38 races and 5 Championships on the local, state, regional and national levels. Since 2005 Dillon has found himself at home behind the wheel of late models both locally and as a part of the ASA Southern Division Tour. Oliver continues to impress with every progressive step he makes in the racing world. Racing announcer Malcolm West said of Dillon’s performance at Music City Motorplex “A lot of drivers have used Nashville’s Music City Motorplex as a launching pad for NASCAR, especially Kentucky names like the Waltrips and Jeremy Mayfield. I predict you can add Dillon’s name to that list. His driving skills, professionalism, and character will take him from Kentucky to Daytona- no doubt about it!” “I am very excited about this big step in my Racing career and my move to Mooresville Nc. I can’t thank enough Chris Lafferty and his group for this opportunity ,I will do my best to give the team a solid respectable finish.”Says Dillon Dillon Oliver is poised to make that prediction come true as he makes his next step towards full time racing in NASCAR’s elite divisions.

POSTED 3-18-09 ARCA RE/MAX SERIES NEWS

ARCA RE/MAX Series Proud Salem Tradition Since 1955; 85th Running ComingVeterans Schrader, Kimmel Go Up Against Onslaught of Rookies SALEM IN (3-18-09) - With Daytona in the books, the ARCA RE/MAX Series is again gearing up to go. Next stop - Salem Speedway for the 85th running of the Kentuckiana Ford Dealers 200 presented by Federated Car Care Sunday afternoon, April 5. The annual event is spread out over the weekend with practice and Menards Pole Award Qualifying scheduled for Saturday afternoon. The race is slated to go at 2:15 pm local time Sunday afternoon. Entrants already include NASCAR Sprint Cup Series veteran Ken Schrader, nine-time ARCA RE/MAX Series champion Frank Kimmel and a host of powerful rookies hoping to make their own mark on the historic half-mile, high-banked oval. Although Schrader has 15 career ARCA RE/MAX Series victories over the years, only one of his wins came at Salem, and that was 10 years ago. The competition is more intense than many people realize." Kimmel, who hails from nearby Clarksville, Indiana, is the all-time winner at Salem with nine victories. The all-time Salem lap leader also snapped a four-year winless streak at his hometown track with a victory in the ARCA Fall Classic at Salem in 2008. Kimmel will also come with his new title sponsor - Ansell-Menards. Eddie Sharp Racing, which most recently fielded cars for Scott Speed in ARCA RE/MAX Series competition, has filed four entries for Salem, three of which include rookie drivers. Those rookies are New York, New York's Tim George, Jr., Fort Frances, Ontario's Steve Arpin and Greenville, North Carolina's Craig Goess. ESR has also entered Justin Lofton, last year's winner at Michigan Int'l Speedway. Other rookies entered include Miami Springs, Florida's Joey Coulter and Humble, Texas's Stephan McCurley. Other veterans entered include local favorite Darrell Basham, Owensboro, Kentucky's Brett Hudson, Indiantown, Florida's Patrick Sheltra, Dallas, Texas's Ken Weaver and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania's Norm Benning. Outside of some occasional downtime when the track changed ownership, the series has been a staple at Salem since 1955. In fact, no track has appeared more on the ARCA RE/MAX Series schedule over the years than Salem. Past RE/MAX Series winners at Salem include NASCAR Cup champion Bobby Allison, six-time ARCA national champ Iggy Katona, three-time series champs Jack Bowsher and Tim Steele, '52 Indy 500 winner Troy Ruttman and USAC stock car veteran/champion Don White. 27 RE/MAX Series races have been won from the pole at Salem. Camping, on a first-come, first-serve basis, is free. For ticket information, call toll free 1-888-2-GO-RACE or 1 (888) 246-7223.

POSTED 3-17-09 COULD WE GET RAIN ON THURSDAY?

The drag racers that will race in the Tenn-Tuck drags this weekend may have to race with little or no test time. Dallas Jones of Beech Bend Raceway Park was opening up the drag track for test and tune this Thursday. The weather folks have Thursday down for partly cloudy and rain showers. Keep your fingers crossed guys and gals for a no rainy day. On the other hand Friday, Saturday and Sunday are looking good as of today.

POSTED 3-17-09 ARCA RE/MAX SERIES CAR TAKE TO THE TRACK TODAY

ARCA RE/MAX Series Cars Finally Test at ‘The Rock’ FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CONTACT: Charles Hudson 910-205-8800 ROCKINGHAM, N.C. (March 17, 2009) – After three days of rain that cancelled the ARCA Series open test, eight teams finally made it on the track today at the Rockingham Speedway to test for next month’s Carolina 200. Defending race champion, Venturini Motorsports had two cars on track today with Sean Caisse and Alex Yontz driving for the team. Yontz will be attempting the double – he will race in his own UARA Late Model on Saturday, April 18th and then will race for Venturini on Sunday, April 19th in the Carolina 200. Caisse will be driving the exact same car that Joey Logano took to victory lane one year ago at the first race since the speedway was reopened. “Based on a car that was already proven to win, we made some changes and adjustments and we are really, really good right now,” said Caisse. “Getting in this car we were able to do some long runs today and figure out where you need to get your groove but not go too hard on the track or you will start to lose time, you can burn up the right rear really easy here so I feel like with the balance of the car and if I can mentally stay focused we are going to be hard to beat. Patrick Sheltra was back in a race car for the first time since his accident last February in Daytona that caused a compound fracture in his back and a dislocated knee cap. “It is a little sore getting in and out of the car today but it is something I’m gonna have to deal with and my knee is hurting a little bit but it is not as bad as I was expecting it to be and everything feels pretty good,” said Sheltra. “We went out early and figured some stuff out and got it all fixed so we were good on old tires so we are pretty happy with the day.” Drew Herring made his first laps in an ARCA car today getting valuable experience for his first ARCA start next month. Herring narrowly missed winning the Pro Cup race here last November and plans to run both ARCA races this year while running the entire Pro Cup schedule in his BTS Tire and Wheel Distributors car. “It has been a little bit different that I thought it was [going to be], the horsepower is a little bit different and with the weight and the difference in the tires it has been a whole lot different than the Pro Cup car,” said Herring. “Coming to Rockingham where I had such a good run in the Pro Cup car I thought I would be a little more acclimated and able to jump right into it but we are not too bad and I have a great crew behind me so I know we will be able to figure this thing out.” Also taking advantage of the clear track today was Joey Coulter and Matt Merrill who both ran the American 200 last November at Rockingham. Rob Brent and Tony Polumbo rounded out the cars testing and both are looking to make their first start at Rockingham during the Carolina 200. Carolina 200 race weekend kicks off on Friday April 17th with Thunderfest in downtown Rockingham from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Reserved seat tickets for the Carolina 200 start at $20 with kids 12 and under admitted for only $15 in any section with paid adult. Tickets for Saturday April 18th are only $15 in advance or $20 the day of the race with kids 12 and under free with a paid adult for general admission seating. Friday is free admission for everyone. For more information about the Carolina 200 or to order tickets, please contact the speedway at (910) 205-8800 or visit our website at www.rockinghamspeedway.com.

POSTED 3-13-09 SNOW, RAIN! SO WHAT IS NEXT? WILL WE GET TO TEST AT BBR?

Hey race fans this is a photo of the snow that we got last night. And the fifty dollar question is still, will we have stock car test and tune tomorrow? I am going to step out on a limb and said NO. The weather forecast as of this morning is still calling for rain. So if the snow don't stop us the rain will most likely put a stop to test and tune. Remember last years test and tune at Beech Bend Raceway? It was snowed out and we got almost 7" of snow. Oh well is this a sign that 2009 will be like 2008? If so look out for a lot of rain! I hope I am wrong. I am ready for the drop of that green flag. See you at the track if we ever get there.

POSTED 3-12-09 PATRICK SHELTRA ON THE MEND AND READY TO RACE

Patrick Sheltra on the Mend and Ready to Get Back Behind the Wheel FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CONTACT: Charles Hudson 910-205-8800 ROCKINGHAM, N.C. (March 12, 2009) – One of this year’s championship contenders left the opening race of the season at Daytona 14th in the point standings. On the surface a 14th place finish looks good, the problem was that Sheltra was involved in a heavy crash while running third with only a few laps left in the race and sustained a compression fracture in his fourth vertebrae and a dislocated kneecap. This weekend, Sheltra will climb behind the wheel for this first time since the Daytona wreck when the ARCA RE/MAX Series holds an open test at the Rockingham Speedway. “The doctor’s were very pleased with the way the healing process has been going, so they’ve cleared me to go to the test,” said Sheltra. “The boys are pumped up about it and I can’t wait to get back in the racecar.” Sheltra ended last year’s race in Rockingham early thanks to an engine failure. The team was in a position for a top-10 run before the engine expired and left them very disappointed. This season Sheltra and his No. 60 Dodge are focused on another strong run at Rockingham. “Rockingham Speedway is an important piece to the ARCA puzzle this year; it can be the track that decides the championship, so we have to make sure we have a car that is capable of winning and leading laps. That’s our main objective.” The test is this Saturday, March 14th and on track practice will begin at 9:00 a.m. and will conclude at 5:00 p.m. with a one hour lunch break at noon. As always for the open tests at Rockingham, fans will be admitted free into the grandstands. Carolina 200 race weekend kicks off on Friday April 17th with Thunderfest in downtown Rockingham from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. There will be a hauler parade through downtown Rockingham at noon on Friday for the day-long celebration as well as most of the drivers signing autographs at 6:00 p.m. On track activities begin Friday as well with UARA practice and qualifying. POSTED 3-10-09 ARCA SERIES TO TEST AT THE ROCK

ARCA RE/MAX Test Ready for ‘The Rock’ FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CONTACT: Charles Hudson 910-205-8800 ROCKINGHAM, N.C. (March 10, 2009) – One year ago, the open ARCA test was the first chance for race teams to get back to the Rockingham Speedway and prepare for the first major race at the track in several years. A year later, just as many teams are expected back for the 2009 open test to once again get the invaluable track time at the tricky one-mile speedway. The test is this Saturday, March 14th and on track practice will begin at 9:00 a.m. and will conclude at 5:00 p.m. with a one hour lunch break at noon. With all three NASCAR touring series off this weekend, being at the track in Rockingham will be the only opportunity for race fans to see stock cars on a superspeedway this weekend. As always for the open tests at Rockingham, fans will be admitted free into the grandstands. One of the drivers scheduled to be here this weekend is Justin Loftin – he was the highest finishing series regular in the season opening Daytona race and will have a very strong car for the Carolina 200. Drew Herring is coming off of a second place finish during the Pro Cup American 200 at the Rockingham Speedway and is now adding the ARCA RE/MAX Series to his resume. Drew will be driving for the same team, the No. 92 BTS Tire and Wheel Distributors/Hog Slat car for his first ARCA Series open test session while he prepares for a selected number of ARCA starts in 2009. Bryan Silas will be back at Rockingham – Bryan was the only driver to compete in all three races on the one-mile track last season. Bryan ran an ARCA car in the Carolina 500, a Pro Cup car in the American 200 and a Kimmel Street Stock Car in the Polar Bear 150. Another driver ready to break through in the series is Tom Hessert. Tom led the most laps in the American 200 Pro Cup race at Rockingham and almost won the race with a fantastic third place finish. Among the names already on the Rockingham Speedway wall of winners is Chad Hackenbracht thanks to his win in a Legends Car last season at Rockingham. Chad is fresh out of the inaugural Fast Track High Performance Development Driver driving school having tested an ARCA car on Little Rock, Rockingham’s half-mile track. Chad will get his first laps on the one-mile track this weekend at the ARCA open test. Venturini Motorsports will be back to defend their race win with a new driver, Sean Caisse. Sean will be piloting the No. 25 car with the team that propelled Joey Logano to the first Rockingham win just a season ago. Teams are using this test to prepare for the Carolina 200 on April 19th. POSTED 3-10-09 BLAKE WHITE TO RETURN IN 2009 SEASON

By Odell Turner - Bowling Green, KY. Saturday at the Drags test and tune I saw a new late model. It was a black #7 and the car owner is Bobby White of Richardsville, Ky. The driver is to be his grandson, Blake "The Snake" White. I didn't get a photo of this car neither did I get a chance to interview them as I was tied up with the Drag Strip. I wish Blake the best in 2009.

The top photo was taken last Saturday at Beech Bend Raceway Park during the Drags test and tune. It is a big jump for Mason, jumping up to the big leagues of late model class. I hope Mason all the best in 2009 season. And in closing of this story, I will say it looks like the late model class is once again going to be the class to keep an eye on. See you at the track!
