POSTED 4-1309 R.A. JEFFREYS DISTRIBUTING COMPANY AND NASCAR TECHNICAL INSTITUTE TO SPONSOR POLE AWARDS

R.A. Jeffreys Distributing Company and NASCAR Technical Institute to Sponsor Pole Awards FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CONTACT: Charles Hudson 910-205-8800 ROCKINGHAM, N.C. (April 13, 2009) – It is always an advantage to qualify first but during the Carolina 200 race weekend qualifying just got even more important with the addition of two special awards. R.A. Jeffreys Distributing Company will once again sponsor the pole award at the Rockingham Speedway for the Carolina 200 race weekend. This year they will be sponsoring two pole awards – the UARA pole award and the ARCA Re/MAX Series pole award. The R.A. Jeffreys Distributing Company Pole Award for the UARA Series will be decided on Friday afternoon starting at 3:30 P.M. and will be won by the driver that turns the fastest time during the qualifying session. On Saturday the ARCA RE/MAX Series drivers will get their chance for the R.A. Jeffreys Distributing Company Pole Award starting at 2:30 P.M. and will once again go to the driver with the quickest time during the qualifying session. NASCAR Technical Institute will also offer a bonus during qualifying. The pole winning crew chief during each of the qualifying session will earn the NASCAR Technical Institute Top Crew Chief Award. Since the NASCAR Technical Institute trains crewmembers that would like to get into motorsports, it was a natural fit for them to reward the winning crew chief during qualifying. Make your plans now to come out to the Rockingham Speedway to see which team will claim the honors from R.A. Jeffreys Distributing Company and NASCAR Technical Institute and then see if they can claim the race win as well. On track activities begin Friday as well with UARA practice and qualifying. Saturday April 18th will feature the UARA race and practice and qualifying for the ARCA cars. The Carolina 200 is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Sunday April 19th. Reserved seat tickets for the Carolina 200 start at $20 with kids 12 and under admitted for only $15 in any section with paid adult. Tickets for the UARA race and ARCA practice and qualifying are only $15 in advance or $20 the day of the race with kids 12 and under free with a paid adult for general admission seating.
