POSTED 9-18-09 LAST NIGHT OF STOCK RACES FOR 2009 SEASON WILL BE A GREAT ONE! PLUS WEATHER UPDATES ASAP!

Tonight will be the last night of the 2009 stock car racing season. Beech Bend Raceway has a special night of wild and exciting racing to finish off this years racing program. Along with the the sportsman class, which will come down to this race to settle a class champion between #99 Robert Cohron and #44 Phillip Akin. Only three points separate these guys with Robert leading going in tonight. Tony Rothe #44 should have the Modified Street Championship but Danny Marr #11 has second by only nine points over #11 Matt Melton. Jason Turner should take the All-American Bomber Championship tonight, but look at these guys, Second place Stacey Key #72 with 188 points, third #17 Alford with 170 points, fourth #23 Farris, Sr. with 168 points and fifth #21 David Harrod with 160 points. These top six could all change. Curtis Butler should win the Championship in the Front Runner class tonight, but second place #23 Tommy Hoover with 356 points and third place #1 Josh Wyatt with 353 points could change, what a battle this could be. Front Runner Figure-8 could come down to tonight for a champion with #32 Mark Cummings leading with 299 points over Bowling Green driver #41 Jeff Hogan with 284 points only 15 points between these two. And third place #43 Rick Simpson with 240 points and fourth place #5 Dakota Gibson with 232 points only 8 points between these two guys for third place. Sammy Sanders #12 will take the late model class championship but second place could be a war between currently second place #25 Mark Oliver with 224 points and third place #2 Danny Smith with 215 points only nine points between these two racers. And for a bonus the Bad to the Bone IOFS (International Outlaw Figure-8 Series) is coming to Bowling Green tonight for a wild and crazy 50 lap race in the exciting figure-8. NOW ONE BIG FACTOR FOR TONIGHT! look at the radar map above. Mother Nature is messing with us race fans again. It is 7:30 a.m. as of this post and here is what I have searched out in the weather story. For Bowling Green as of now. Rain at 9:00 a.m. but not much. Rain at 3:00 p.m. fairly hard but not to last long. And NO rain until around Midnight again. So it seems to be touch and go for most part. Keep your fingers crossed race fans.
