POSTED 9-16-09 ONLY TWO DAYS UNTIL THE IOFS HITS THE TRACK AT BEECH BEND RACEWAY

Ok, Odell, it's just about that time...only two days till race day! But this isn't gonna be just any ol race day! The Outlaws are coming and what a show it's gonna be. Just to give everyone an idea, here is a list of potential entries for this race. This list was posted on another site by Charlie Hargraves, IOFS Series Director, on Sept. 14th so there is a good chance that more entries have been added and the list not be updated yet. Let's not forget the ones that might just show up on raceday either. So far, so good. It's an awesome show in the making.

These guys are the greatest figure-8 drivers anywhere in the world. Doug Greig is the 2007 World Figure-8 Champion as well as the current points leader in the IOFS Series. These cars are without question the most radical short track cars in the country. With only limited rules (no soaking tires, no traction control, and Hoosier 1055 tire), everything else is wide open. If you have never seen these cars and drivers you are in for an unforgetable experience.

Odell,

I think I speak for all of the Outlaws when I say that we are really looking forward to coming to Beech Bend, one of the greatest short track racing facilities in the country. We really appreciate the Figure 8 fans in Kentucky. I just wanted to tell them all thanks and see you Friday night.

Oh yes, and Odell, thanks for all you do too.

A special thanks goes to Charlie Hardgraves for starting up the IOFS Series. Thanks for letting BBR be one of the tracks on the 2009 schedule. You have an awesome series going. It was a very unforgetable experience to be there and watch the excitement and the thrill of the drivers that was out on the track.

First, let me just say Thanks to all that welcomed the IOFS drivers, crews & families to Bowling Green & Beech Bend. From what I gather, everyone enjoyed their stay, the facility and what it had to offer and is looking forward to returning. Of course, the car count was not exactly what we hoped for but there is not anything that can be done when someone has mechanical issues. There were a couple that did and I hope on thier next trip to BBR things will go better for them. Hopefully, the crowd was pleased with what the IOFS brought to the table. This series is still in the beginning stages so things will only get better from here on out! As a fan of figure 8 racing, I absolutely respect Charlie and all others involved with forming this series. They have done a great job and I look forward to racing with all these guys for many years to come.

Now, a huge THANK YOU goes out to Hargraves Racing for lending Doodle a carb. to use this past Friday! Some may just see that a simple favor but not us. They did not have to offer it to us. This just speaks volumes on what great people the IOFS is made of. Drivers/crews helping drivers/crews, great racing & great times...just what racing should be! As always, thank you for all you have done for the drivers, crews and fans of this sport! I actually hate to see the season come to an end! It's gonna be a long winter not getting to see all our IOFS friends.
