Attention Race Fans! Coming to Beech Bend Raceway Park, Bowling Green, KY. That's right as shown on TV "The Bad to the Bone" IOFS (International Outlaws Figure-8 Series). Folks this is a new series that travels mostly in Indiana and Kentucky. As shown above the #33 is the current points leader, the #1 is the second in points car. The IOFS runs mainly the super fast wing cars but with different rules than the ones you have seen before. These cars are much lighter in weight and have no engine rules. They also run stock type cars like Beech Bend Raceway ran. As a matter of fact, Richard "Doodle" Dickens has been running this series and is seventh in over all points and the points leader in the stock class. I'm also hearing that some of the Bowling Green guys may run in this race. One that has told me for sure is Doodle's Uncle, Ricky Dickens #28. If you love action, then you need to make your plans today to join us on September 18, 2009. Be at the track early to get a good set, I have been to the series race earlier this year and it was standing room only. Don't mess this night of BAD TO THE BAD racing.

We got a sneak peak as to what these cars will do when they hit the track at BBR. Butch Winters brought his Outlaw out Tuesday night to shake it down for the upcoming Anderson, In. (Sept. 5th) race and the BBR race (Sept. 18th). That car was wicked fast! Doodle got to experience just how different driving one of these Outlaws is compared to a "Stocker" like he is use to. Let's just say that you could not have knocked the smile off his face. This being the first and only time he has driven this car, he turned a 20.80. Not bad at all considering he was just playing around with it, never really got in the throttle, he has never driven this car and that it had the Anderson setup. Folks, if you remember, we are use to seeing the figure 8 cars turn in the 21's. As long as these drivers can get their cars hooked up (which most of them will), there is no doubt that they will set times quicker than 20.80. As Odell stated, be sure to get there early. Each race we have ran at KMS, Plymouth and Anderson has been a packed house!! Besides, you do not want to miss this figure 8 show. Come out and support our hometown drivers and welcome the out of towners as all of them are geared up to give you a great figure 8 show. Hope to see yall there!
