Hello race fans! Friday night stock car races and a full moon? Let's start with the first race of the night. The Sportsman Class once again had a good field of cars with nine taking the green flag. Once the green flag was dropped the battle was on. Flagman, K.P. Payne had the green flag in one hand and the yellow in the other. With only a few laps made we saw the #28 of Daymond Long take a scary ride down the back stretch coming to a rest against the wall in turn three. I believe the #00 and another car or two got some damage in this wreck. That forces the #28 car of Long to the pits, returning later. That was not the end to the wild racing. Going into turn three, the #6 of William Johnson, #9 Jason Floyd and #44 Phillip Akin pile up. If you go to my photo site you can see #44 Phillip Akin almost turn over as his car gets up on two wheels. One photo shows William Johnson #6 with his right rear tire and wheel in the air. Finally the race gets started back and William Johnson #6 claims his first win of 2009. I didn't see these two accidents completely if you did please post your views. The Modified Street Class. This class needs more cars. In my opinion, I wouldn't build a car for 2010 unless it was legal for sportman class. Let me clear this up, I have NOT hear this from Beech Bend Raceway or it's officials. This is strictly my opinion. With that being said, Rita Cline and Matt Melton started on the front row but was quickly over taken by Tony Rothe #44. Tony seem to have this race in the bag when in turn one smoke poured from his machine bringing out the yellow flag. The restart found Matt Melton leading the race with #11 Danny Marr chasing him. It took Marr several laps as Melton put up a good fight for the lead. In the end Marr claims the win. The Late Model Class. How do I start this story? The car count was great with 13 cars taking the green flag. I for one am glad to have all these great drivers. It is most pleasurable to have non-regulars to visit us at BBR. Drivers such as #22 Mike Barrett, #8 Dustin Arms and #14 Davey Coble. This race may have been the best of the night. Points leader #12 Sammy Sanders couldn't get to the front as he started in the rear. Bo Miller #38 a donate driver at BBR couldn't get through the traffic either. Visitor #22 Mike Barrett had some adjusting during practice and did a better job in the race, but couldn't get the handle. This left the car that start up front #99 Chad Willis jumping out in the lead and not looking back. However, Chad had to feel the heat from visiting driver #14 Davey Coble. I was in turn four on the wall and could hear a car that sound like it was on 7 cylinders, I think it was #12 Sammy Sanders or #38 Bo Miller. Now for The Front Runner Class. Talking car count, this class had 17 cars take the green flag. This race was a battle with #23 Tommy Hoover, Paul Cummings and then Steve Vincent and Curtis Bulter coming into the battle. Where you a little confused with the winner? Yes, you were right it was a Cummings winning but not the usually Mark Cummings. It was his brother that doesn't race every week at BBR winning. Paul Cummings collects this win. There were some disagreements between driver #8c and track officials Gary Dalton and Bobby White before the race started. It was said that Butler while appearing on the local radio show of Spivey Williams and Smokin Joe quoted the track officials as to telling him NOT to bring his car back to BBR. The track officials said they didn't say that. Anyway, Butler was back but in another car and the car that Butler normally drives was bought by Steve Vincent which had a #6 on it. What a mess! Please comment on this if you have anything to share. The All American Bomber Class. This class had eight cars. David Harrod #21 won this race with ease. Points leader #75 Jason Turner had second but felt the pressure of Kenny Wells and drove off into turn three way too wide leaving Wells all kinds of room to make to pass. Wells never looked back and finished second. Eighth place finisher #7 Henry Belcher, Jr. took a wild ride spinning into the infield. The Front Runner Figure-8 Class. Did you see what I saw? Curtis Butler in the #8c flying through the field and taking the lead away from Mark Cummings and then driving that car hard into the turns. But hold on! I went to take the winning photo of Curtis and guess what? It wasn't Curtis. It was young driver, Dakota Gibson #5. Apparently Dakota had just bought this car from Cutris only minutes before the race. What a move Dakota. I think someone may want to look at putting this kid in a sportsman or late model car. the #28 budweiser car ran over the #00 car causing him to get a tire cut down mean while #28 was all crossed up and got into the #22 and tore his car all to pieces he was at the wrong place at the wrong time,the #28car almost took out half the field tryin to come to the front on the first lap, the #44 car ran all over the #9 car like he has been doing all season these two beer sponsored cars must be sampling there sponsors products before the start of the race cause those to where very wild.congrats to the richardsville outlaw with that win he looked very strong half tracking the#99 and the#48 ,good to see a new winner this is the best class atBBR
Well we see that the officials still aren't doing their jobs as far as checking for safety on the track as well as HEADERS in the front runner division. Curtis Butler sold his car now someone else can ride the rule book as well. HEY TRACK OFFICIALS!!!

I race in the front runner division and I'm sure that I'm not the only one that that would like to have an advantage on others. Come on track officials, lets make it fair for everyone. Quit letting the #41 THE OLD 8C THE NEW 8c #6 get by with illegal crap.

to the last comment do you know the difference between a manifold and a header? cause both old and new 8c cars had manifolds they may have been polished & ported but they are manifolds,also some hondas & fords have an exhaust manifolds that resembles a header but its not it comes out stock on those particular engines, so quit your cryin and go by some suspension parts so your cars will handle thru the turns thats where the races are won at on the oval track!
rules should be enforced but they dont check worth a crap in any class look at highland rim in there front runners they have three classes and weight rules that would make it fair everyone should just come out to the drivers meeting next year and put there 2 cents in it
as for the 28 running over the 00 you need to get ur eyes check because 00 hit the 28 in the right rear wheel and turned him toward the wall then hit him in the front end turning him the other way causing him to hit the wall backwards so get it right & stop tring to get something started !
berbrhey anyone see matt melton in that 11 machine he was looking good for his first year in a big car he was holding his own against marr also like to point out how clean marr drove him great job guys keep it up

well just wanted to say i think the rookie paniced because he haddn't been in a situation like that before with two fast cars on each side of him
as for the commit about the beer cars being wild i dont no what u where looking at but it wasn't the race
ummm...dude I just check the front Runner rules and headers are not illegal...in fact you can do just about anything you want to to the engine.
Truthfully, no ones knows who actually cause the big wreck in sportsman class because some of the drivers said they really dont know who caused the wreck! But on the person who was talkin bout daymond samplin his sponsers products, you need 2 get your facts right because you dont know Daymond as well as u think you do! Daymond does not drink nomore in his life and hasnt been for 5 years so ya'll need to get your stories right and stop tryin 2 start a rumor sayin Daymond drinks before he races! Next time be person enough and not post anonymous like everyone else does! Step up to the plate if ur goin 2 play like that, & dont worry, Barney will be back to races on the 21st, u can guarntee on that & yes congrats on someone else winnin in sportsman class!
i would like to know how the 28 got into the 22 when the 28 was sliding down the track sideways i dont no what u where watching but i guess ya'll fools need to talk about something the old dinasaur looked like it was turning throug the corners alot better it was going to the front
hey odel i bet there has been a million races won from some of those fans but they probably couldn't ride a bicycle in a straight line.
barney did run all over the #00 causin him to loose control and thats why he made accidentlal contact with barney,also when barney was all crossedup sliding across the back stretch he did hit #22 causing much damage[of course it was an accident that w/a small amount of patience could have been avoided]the #28 is a wild driver at least thats what he has showed the last two seasons.
u #28 fans never see thru the beer goggles clearly cause daymond and barney caused all that crap and they will not win a sportsman race unless they managed to take out the leaders and it falls into his lap, they would struggle w/the street mods.especially the groverat
ok this is dakota's sister and he has own his winning he has been racin for three years and he bought the car from tony..... yea i might not be a racecar driver and know what headers and manifolids r but i do know that everybody needs to grow up and race not be like babies and cry about everything and if u want to be in the winner's circle then learn how to drive ur car ... its all about the driver not the car .... and dakota said finsh three postions in front of me or three postions behind me cliam me and there will be no problems ..... STOP CRYIN .... u know racers cant even race anymore without somebody callin them cheaters just leave them alone and race

well andbody that knows anything about racing could see the 28 was up to the 00s front wheel and got clipped in the right rear wheel which turned it sideways as for the 22 he was just trying to get through while the 28 was sliding and got together with the 28 if yall noticed the 28 was the the 4th fastest car so quit crying things like that happen in short track racing (put your name on these post or are yall chicken) im sure you are.
as for the 28 not going to win a race any car in that class is capable to win
This is my first season racing ,but I've been around it all my life ,and its no different now than it was 30 years ago .Look at nascar, every week their repremanding someone because of an illegal advantage. Oh well!!
Thats part of racing ,either you get caught or you don't.
As for me this season I'm out for the fun of it. As for next season
I will be a competitive part of BEECH BEND RACEWAY!!!

Daymond, to answer your question. If I used the Name/URL sign-in someone could get on here with the name Mickey Mouse and you wouldn't know who that was either. They could even get on as Daymond28 or Long28 and it not be you. So there you go. It just doesn't work. This site was built for racing FUN and to share racing news. And it does. Although anything you do in live some few bad apples tries to mess up the system. My advice to you Daymond would be DO NOT reply back with a comment and for your family, friends and fans not to reply back. Soon the ones making the remarks will slow down. i think we need different classes for the front runners slow ones and fast ones or do it by the number of cams or do it by brand like honda and nissan or something to level the playing field same ole people win and the guys in the back getting lapped it isnt fun and they dont have the money to compete i know b/c i been there we need non winners race or something also i think u should be able to run 2 door cars in the bombers there no faster than 4 door just to get the car count up i mean b/c the white grand am that wins he has a twin cam theres some front runners that couldnt keep up with the bombers so something needs to be done
Odell are you serious about dakota. He races in the figure 8 which is nothing like sportsman or late model. Matt Melton won the Championship and several races last year and you see how he can't keep up with modified which is alot slower than sportsmen and latemodel.
well i been going out there and other tracks and in my opion that place needs a new owner or closed down cause aint nothing out there except a bunch of cry babies and trouble makers thats why he cant get any cars to come from other tracks if they do come they just come once and see all the drama and dont come back again!!!!

hey look here i have been driving for three years now and i am winning and people are saying i am cheating and i aint. so if you want my car the cliam me because i have three more cars at the house i will race but i am tring have a good time not all this baby stuff. i always race clean i have never cheated before in racing and this is beechbend not the rim so learn how to race with the big boys i am. thank u and see you next race.

this is for anonymous #2 on this post. what makes you think that the #41 has a header and better yet which car are you talking about? as far as winning...i have only won 1 race this year. the rules state NO AFTER MARKET HEADERS. driver...if you want to win, then work on your car just like i do and improve it. i don't care who you are or what you are...i run my own race and i do it clean. if you want to confront me, you know where i park at in the pits...not trying to start a fight here but if you want to talk...then will talk. some cars do come out with a factory header and the rules state STOCK ENGINES. so driver...sounds like you might want to improve yours a little bit more...maybe tighten that rubber band a little tighter. just go out and have fun and quit this bickering.

hey the 41 has only won 1 race so what is the need to bringing that car in the picture. Maybe you all need to focus on the cars that win every friday night. Those who can't keep up need to build there cars so they can keep up or they need to stop racing. Congrats to the 41 for figure 8 win. For Matt Melton you have done a great job and tied for 2nd place there are people that has been racing for years and can't run one season and be tied for second. Keep up the good work guys.

Idk about all the rules about the front runner division but i do believe that they should be split up into two classes some how.

i'm most diffently a grandstand racer w/an opinion and mine is that the #28 is junk and the late 80's & early 90's are calling and they want it back also w/out us grandstand racer and spectators there wouldnt be any racing...so load that up and smoke it.....

to the grandstand racer you must not been going to beechbend all that long cause you said in the late 80s & early 90s i know that the 28 car won 4 or 5 races in 2000 cause i was their also and got the pictures to prove it now smoke that !!!!!!!!
looks like me the #28 qualified 4th last week so that means about2/3 of the cars r junk or got more money than they do brains guarantee the cars he out qualified had more money in there cars than he does so why does everybody says its junk b/c its not camoflauge or b/c it dont look like a late model hes doing fine if u ask me just having fun with what he has
thats right grandstand racer the drivers are what make beechbend happen if it wouldn't for them what would you do on friday night? (so dont hate appreciate) them for all they do to keep that track going i know most of the fans do but theres always a (ROTTEN APPLE) in the basket
Well let"s get off of the #28 car it is getting old maybe this week someone else will make a big mess and then it will be there turn to be talked about on this site. #28 is a good guy just wanting to race and have fun and he has no other problems with any of the drivers,in his class at all, Nice guy lets find someone else to dog and pick on this week, You haters must not have a heart at all and what comes around comes back and gets you harder so i would not be talking about others they way you all have about the #28 car. Do you even really know him at all? Must not because someone said he must drink before he races and that is not true at all he does not even drink a changed man. how many times has the #28 finished in front of the camo car? none that i can remember. also in 2000 the #28 got spanked everyweek by BRUCE VAUGHN the #11car and i remember the #28 winning one race and then he won a race and the #11 wanted to pull the valve covers on the #28 and he couldnt even pull the valve covers cause he had roller rockers on thats pretty said cause if i was a racer i would make them dig pretty deep to catch me ...THE GRANDSTAND RACER...
to the grandstand racer you must not pay attention because i've seen at least 4 trophys from 2000 & yes he did have roller rockers and he changed them and half tracked the field and they pulled the valve covers and they were sick when they saw it was right !!!!!!!! Also you have to have some ability and be mechanical inclined to race but i guess thats why your a (GRANDSTAND RACER) and not a real racer !!!!!!!! and he has finished in fron of the camo car but this aint about them its all about you ain't it ?
that car has never half tracked the field when BRUCE VAUGHN was racing u know it and daymond knows it,i know u dont like my opinion of your driver but thats the great thing about Odells website you can state your opinion wether it ruffles someones feathers or not,besides its funny cause all the people that have been coming to BBR for years know that the#28 was getting spanked back in the day as it is getting spanked now!!!
this is my opinion grandstand racer did you run away from hopkinsville mental ward or do you just see what you want to see because you see alot of things other people dont see and i do have tapes of the 28 car half tracking the field . i would like to no what you've got againt the 28 whats he ever done to you ? beat one of your heroes . wheres all your heroes now. by the did you no the vaughns filmed the 28 car every week trying to figure out how it got around the track so smooth

the vaughns were never trying to figure out how the #28 ran so smooth (r u on glue) cause bruce wore him out week in and week out also bruce vaughn was the reason they started the winner going to the back the next following race!and yes a couple of my heros arent racing anymore and #11 bruce vaughn was one of them and ruben and jerry landcaster was some off them to just a few drivers that your boy the #28 couldnt hold a candle to!also i love racing and i love this local racing news and rumors site so dont get so up set w/all of us grandstand racers cause ther are hundreds of us that come out every week to do just that grandstand race!
