POSTED 1-9-09 EMAIL FROM TAS RACING

TAS Racing 602 Bascomb Commercial Parkway West Woodstock, Georgia 30189 Telephone: (770) 928-1533 Fax: (770) 592-9170 www.tylerspeer.com January 8, 2009 Mr. Odell Turner turnermotorsports99.blogspot.com Dear Odell, I spoke with you early in the week in reference to the Rockingham race on New Years Day. The picture posted on your web page of the yellow and white #60 car on its side is of Tyler Speer not Brian Silas. The driver of the #60 car is Tyler Speer from Woodstock, GA. This was Tyler’s first time on a super speedway and the first race for this 1972 Chevelle he and his crew built and set up to race. Tyler started young at the age of five racing motocross, then he went to Karts and he has spent the last three seasons racing the Allison Legacy Touring Series. Tyler has finished top ten in the points for the last two seasons in the Allison Legacy series. Tyler just turned 18 year old 10 days prior to this race, making him the youngest driver of the Rockingham race. Tyler had to start last at the back of the pack because his radio harness would not work at the start of the race. Tyler came into the pits at the start of the parade laps to have the harness replaced. As the race began Tyler started at the rear making his way to the front quickly however from the picture posted on your site was involved in this accident early in the race. The #14 car did not clear the #36 which was running in the middle nor the #60 car of Tyler Speer who was on the outside. The #14 car caused the #60 car to actually drive on the wall making him airborne on his side above the wall. Tyler managed to land the car on all four wheels without a scratch on either the left or right side of the car. Tyler could be seen running up and down pit row getting parts to repair the car. Tyler and his crew repaired the car to come back and finish the race in the 33rd position. Thanks to all of my fans who did not give up on me and to my awesome crew for getting the car back out on the track. Please take time to visit my website www.tylerspeer.com I will be updating it soon with pictures from the Rockingham race.
