POSTED 10-13-08 THANKS TO CINDY PIKE AND FAMILY FOR YOUR HOSPITALITY!

First, I would like to thank Cindy Pike, owner of the Sportsdrome Speedway along with her brother and family. Cindy was a very nice person to met. I feel I have a new group of friends to add to my list. The track was very easy to get around and I took a lot of photos. I got to meet the track photographer and she was very kind. I have a link to their race track on my side bar, so please check them out. Again, thanks Cindy and I hope you all the luck in the world! Odell Turner

I would like to add that all the track officials, tech personnel, driver and crew members really gave Doodle a warm welcome. They made him fill "right at home". There was not one driver nor crew member that did not treat Doodle and his crew with the upmost respect! If Doodle had a question, needed a part or tool, advice regarding the track, advice on making his car better for that track or anything, many of the drivers from the Sportsdrome and Anderson Speedway were more than happy to offer thier assistance for the World 300 and future races as well. Not only did Doodle get to visit with some old friends but he made a long list of new friends as well. Several drivers, along with the track personnel invited him back to the Sportsdrome at anytime. He was invited to Anderson Speedway to take part in a 200 lap figure 8 for this Saturday (he is not legal for that race though). Not to mention, he was offered a ride for the 3hr. Figure 8 in Indy in 2009 if he can gather some sponsorship money to take with him. All of this may not seem like much to the fans reading but as a driver (or in my case the wife of a driver) it means a lot to know that the respect you have given to others in the past is now being given in return. Doodle and I are very thankful and grateful for all that everyone did to help make this trip to the Sportsdrome possible. Even though the finish was not what he hoped for, he did a heck of a job! He gave it a shot and that is all anyone could ask for...just try. I can say that I am extremely proud of him. I think Doodle represented himself, his fans, sponsors, Bowling Green and BBR very well! Great Job, Doodle! I wish you all the best for the 2009 season in the Mid Western Series at The Drome!

Hey Donnie,

Thanks Donnie for the compliment on the race. Sorry to hear about your troubles at the World 300...maybe next yr one of us will get it. I look forward to you coming to Beech Bend some next summer. If you do, holler at me and I will be glad to help you all I can. If you don't make it down here, hopefully we can meet up when I make it to the Sportsdrome. If you need anything over the winter just get in touch with me. See you at the races!
