Driver from Highland Rim Speedway dies from accident.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A South Nashville man was crushed to death late Monday night when a vehicle he was working under fell on him. 

The 70-year-old was working on a racing truck at this home on Forest Hills Drive just before 9 p.m. when the truck fell off the jacks. 

Neighbors tried to help, but could not lift the truck off him. The man died before rescue crews arrived.

  Doug has raced at Beech Bend Raceway back a few years ago.  Many of you remember him and Ty racing the four cylinders #9 and #10.  We are deeply sadden to hear of this tragedy.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Colbert family.
