POSTED 9-10-09 CALLING ALL FIGURE-8 DRIVERS

By Angie Dickens - Calling all Figure 8 Drivers!! The weeks are winding down as we get closer to the best Figure 8 show to hit BBR this year! The International Outlaw Figure 8 Series (IOFS) is scheduled to make their appearance on Sept. 18th. The IOFS series director, Charlie Hargraves, is compiling an entry list for the BBR race and would like to know who will be entering this awesome event. By posting this, I hope it will give the drivers the chance to respond if they are planning on entering this race. Plus, it will help Charlie out by giving him some idea on how many cars to expect for this show. Not to mention, the fans can get an idea of what type of figure 8 show they are about to experience!! So, here's your chance, figure 8 drivers, to finally get some racing action at Beech Bend again! You have 10 days from today to get the car tuned up and ready to go. Don't forget that after the IOFS makes their stop at BBR, they will then head to KY Motorspeedway, Whitesville, KY on Sept. 20th. Two action packed figure 8 races in one weekend, what more could a figure 8 fan ask for? Plan to get to both of these races early as each race we have attended has fully a packed house!! Hope to see everyone there.
Doodle is entered as he looks to gain positions in the overall points with the IOFS.
I am hearing that Kevin Dickens will be appearing in this event, driving the familiar blue #28 car of Ricky Dickens.
I have also heard that Mike Mason will be making an appearance on the 18th.
Butch Winters will be back at BBR in hopes of capturing his first IOFS victory.
Danny Smith will be pulling double duty as he will climb out of the oval Late Model and into the Figure 8 Late Model.
Rumors are around that Artie B. Ware will again be back at BBR. Artie always ran well here, he is another that is out for his first IOFS feature win.
Donnie Skaggs looks to make a trip back to BBR with the IOFS.
These are just a few that I am hearing about but what about some of the other Hometown Figure 8 drivers such as J.J, Wayne Green, Tommy Lawrence, Ricky Johnson, just to name a few. Maybe they have all been busy getting cars ready...we'll have to wait and see.
