This is a picture of Bowling Green's own Hugh Porter Causey. Hugh Porter was very instrumental in getting stock car racing started at Beech Bend Race Raceway Park. This picture was taken on what is now the parking lot for Western Kentucky University and in the background you can see the train track underpass with a car heading away from Hugh Porter which is headed toward Russellville on 68 & 80. Hugh Porter and wife Mary live in Bowling Green, Hugh Porter is well known for his Junk Yard on Morgantown Road. Thanks Hugh Porter for making racing stock car's in Bowling Green possible.
