The Ken Ten Pro Late Model Series will be returning to two of Tennessee’s premier bull rings for the 2011 season. Highland Rim Speedway in Ridgetop and Riverview Speedway in Carthage both return to the schedule after a one-year absence.

“We’re very excited to return to Highland Rim and Carthage,” said Craig Thompson, series director for Ken Ten. “We had exciting races at both tracks in 2009, and I expect the races this year to be just as good. Highland Rim is one of the most historic tracks in Tennessee, and Riverview is a really cool track. It’s super fast.”

Bobby Hamilton Jr., promoter for both tracks, agreed, adding “The Ken-Ten series returning to Highland Rim and Riverview for the 2011 season will be an added treat for the fans.”

The series will hit the high banks at Carthage for 100 exciting laps on Firday, May 20, and again on Friday, Oct. 7.

Highland Rim will host a pair of 100 lap events on Aug. 13, and Sept. 24.

"The series is headed in the right direction to bring good racing action and fans who follow in support," Hamilton added.

Other stops scheduled for 2011 include 100 laps at Indiana’s Salem Speedway on June 18, and twin-50s on the bull ring at Beech Bend Park in Bowling Green on Friday, July 29.

“We’re hoping to add more dates in the future,” Thompson stated. “We’re also leaving a couple of dates open in case the trouble surrounding Nashville’s Fairgrounds Speedway gets resolved. We’d love to race there again,” he added.
