HUGE FIELD EXPECTED FOR IOFS FINAL
Anderson, Indiana - October 7, 2009 - The inaugural International Outlaw Figure 8 Series (IOFS) 2009 season is set to conclude Saturday night at Anderson Speedway. The Outlaw series as well as the Front Wheel Drive Figure 8 series are scheduled to compete with champions in each division being crowned at the end of the night. The IOFS portion of the 'Night Of Thrills' program will also feature School Bus Figure 8's, Figure 8 Trailer Race, and a Demolition Derby.
To help celebrate the IOFS season finale, four Grand Marshals will help pay respect to the rich history of Figure 8 racing at Anderson Speedway. Mike St. John, Jim Fox, Herb Rose and Art Cox will serve as the Grand Marshal's for this historic evening. Each of these men have won countless features and championships at the high-banked speed plant.
A huge field of cars is expected for this event. Drivers from three states have indicated they will be participating. Along with the IOFS regulars, Michigan Figure 8 veteran Robbie Loving is expected to make his first start on the high banks. Kentucky drivers: Butch Winters, Danny Smith, and Tony Anderson have also indicated they will participate. The largest field in IOFS history is expected for this event.
