This is the email as I received it. My question is would you the racer and fan like to see this and would you help? example talk to business owners to see if they would donate money. I think Dallas reads this site from time to time so if you are serious please leave your comment. Richard is not the only one that has ask me to post something about this race. So speak up!
Do u think we could pull this off Odell. I have been watching bbr for 25 yrs. We need a annually event like this. Bbr has a big place, and alot of good people that would enjoy this race. How about a 2 day event of just figure 8 action. first day have heat races. First 4 driver will advance to race in finals next day. The last race of the 1st day have a last chance at advancing to the main event on the next day. Then on the second day have a 2 or 3 hour figure 8 races. What do u guys and gals think of this format. Post your on format it might be better thanks Richard
Hey Figure 8 drivers of BBR comment on this project. We need your input. Please help make this happen talk to local business. No we don't want twin 25 lap figure 8 racing. We want what the boys up north have every year. Thats a 2-3 hour figure 8 races

Richard, you'll need to talk to Dallas first but I think the two event would be impossible because Dallas has drag races on up into November. I do think it would be good to have a big one night event. Just a thought, Odell
IN MY OPINION ONLY (B/C I DON'T DRIVE BUT HAVE BEEN AROUND RACING FOR AWHILE). I THINK THE FIRST STEP IN PLANNING AN EVENT LIKE THIS WOULD BE TO TALK WITH DALLAS AND SEE IF HE IS EVEN INTERESTED IN THIS AND GET HIS APPROVAL. THEN IF SO, YOU WOULD PUT YOUR INFO SUCH AS DATE, TIME, QUALIFIING DATES/RACES, RACING DATE(S), ETC. TOGETHER TO PRESENT TO POTENTIAL SPONSORS FOR THE EVENT. ALL THE WHILE MAKING SURE THAT YOU WOULD HAVE ENOUGH DRIVERS TO MAKE THIS A COMPETITIVE RACE. THEN YOU WOULD HAVE TO ADVERTISE, ADVERTISE, ADVERTISE!!!! THAT WOULD HAVE TO BE A KEY PART IN THIS. DO YOU FEEL AS IF THERE WOULD BE ENOUGH PEOPLE TO HELP ARRANGE THE ACTIVITIES? THERE IS NO POSSIBLE WAY ONE PERSON CAN DO THIS ALONE...(I WOULD NOT THINK). I HAVE ATTENDED THE WORLD FIGURE 8 IN INDY SEVERAL TIMES AND THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST AMAZING RACES I HAVE BEEN TO. BUT I AM SURE THAT IT DIDN'T JUST DEVELOPE OVERNIGHT AND IT HAS TAKEN SEVERAL YRS. FOR THIS EVENT TO BECOME AS POPULAR AS IT IS TODAY. I AM NOT TRYING TO TAKE ANYTHING AWAY FROM YOU OR THE ORGANIZATION OF AN EVENT AS THIS. I AM JUST PUTTING MY OPINION OUT THERE TO GIVE YOU SOMETHINGS TO THINK ABOUT B/C THIS IS NOT GONNA HAPPEN BY ITSELF AND YOU WILL NEED LOTS OF PEOPLE TO HELP PITCH IN. YOU ARE REALLY GONNA HAVE TO HAVE A GAME PLAN IN PLACE BEFORE GOING TO DALLAS. I WOULD BE WILLING TO HELP IN ANYWAY POSSIBLE. I THINK THAT THIS WOULD BE GREAT FOR BBR AND F8 DRIVERS. THIS WOULD BE BBR'S CHANCE TO PROVE THAT WE ARE WILLING, CAPABLE AND ABLE TO PRODUCE GREAT, EXCITING, WHEEL TO WHEEL RACING ACTION. I HOPE THAT THIS WORKS OUT AND BECOMES A REALITY. DALLAS HAS TO KNOW THAT BBR IS ONE OF THE NICEST FACILITIES AROUND AND THERE ARE STILL SOME THAT WOULD REPRESENT BBR WELL. GOOD LUCK AND LET ME KNOW IF YOU NEED ANY HELP.
