News Update from Ken-Ten Pro Late Model Series

Effective of the July 17 race at Nashville’s Fairgrounds Speedway, Rob Spires will be the race director for the remainder of the Ken Ten Pro Late Model Series 2010 season. Previously, the series had relied on officials at each individual track to make calls during the race; however, questionable calls at recent events have necessitated the change.

“In order for the series to grow, it is important that we offer consistent officiating at all races. We have had a couple situations this year where the calls weren’t consistent, and that won’t be tolerated,” said Craig Thompson, Director of Competition for the Ken Ten series. “Rob understands racing, and by bringing him in, we are ensuring that all races for the rest of the year will be fair to all drivers !

“I’m enthusiastic about what this opportunity could mean for Ken Ten,” said Spires. “I feel that one of the most important factors in attracting drivers to any series is to guarantee that every driver has an equal opportunity for success. Ken Ten can now make this guarantee. I’m looking forward to working with the various staffs at each track we visit to provide exciting races for the fans and fair races for the drivers,” Spires added.

Thanks, Craig Thompson
