Most of you that get on my site have heard of NASCAR driver Jeff Gordon or NHRA Driver John Force. As much as I love the big time sports and their drivers, this site is all about the local drivers. Some refer to them as the weekend warriors. My new addition to this site will be a brief bio of the local racers. Here are two gentleman that I interviewed today at Beech Bend Raceway Park.

DRIVER: STEVE HINTON
- What year did you start drag racing? 1964
- What was your first car? 1955 Hardtop Chevy
- What was your biggest win or event? Winning the Bluegrass Speedway race at Lexington, KY. plus several class wins.
- Worst Memory? Can really think of one.
- Years Racing - 46

- What year did you start drag racing? 1968
- What was your first car? 1958 Ford
- What was your biggest win or event? Winning the 2008 Sportsnational Superstock D/Automatic Class
- Worst Memory? At Music City Speedway sliding sideways all the way down the 1/8 mile track at around 110 M.P.H. and didn't wreck.

- Age- 64
- Place of employment - Retired
