POSTED 12-30-08 MORE UPDATES FOR THE POLAR BEAR 150

American 200 Race Winner Clay Rogers to Drive the Pace Car at the Polar Bear 150 ROCKINGHAM, N.C. (December 30, 2008) – Just two months ago Clay Rogers pulled into Victory Lane at the Rockingham Speedway after one of his biggest win of his career at the American 200, Pro Cup race. With just seven laps to go, Rogers took the lead in his No. 54 Food King/C&C Boilers Chevrolet to win the closely contested race at ‘The Rock’. On Thursday, Rogers will be back at the famous track to drive again – this time in the pace car to lead the field to the green flag at the start of the Polar Bear 150. “Winning the American 200 was huge for me,” said Rogers. “I have heard so many cool things about the Polar Bear 150 that when Andy asked me to be a part of it I had to say yes.” Rogers also plans on bringing his C&C Boilers/JCR3 Motorsports team back to the Rockingham Speedway in 2009 to compete in both ARCA RE/MAX Series races scheduled for April 19th and October 11th respectively. The Polar Bear 150 kicks off on December 31st with practice during the day and a New Years Eve celebration in the garage area and infield of the track starting at 7:30 p.m. Fans can join the drivers and teams for the celebration for only $10. The race will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday January 1st with R.A. Jefferys Distributing Company Pole Qualifying at 10:00 a.m. General admission seating is only $15 when purchased in advance and $20 the day of the race. Kids 12 and under are free with a paid adult.
