I could never begin to tell you what goes through my mind before and during a figure 8 race. Doodle tells me not to worry. That is much easier said than done. I am a wife who happens to love her husband very deeply...how do I not worry?! I just have to remind myself that Doodle is a great racecar driver. He is a smart racecar driver that knows what he can and can not do with a racecar. I trust and believe in him 100%! I put that same trust and belief into the car too. Then, I NEVER let him go onto a track of any kind that I do not ask God to ride along with him! I ask Him to protect Doodle and the others, I ask that He help Doodle make the right decisions, I ask that He help guide the car and take control if ever a situation is beyond Doodle's control . Last but not least, I ask that He brings Doodle home to me safely, just as he was when he climbed into the car. I don't ask for any more or any less...I just ask that he brings Doodle back to me.
