Anthony Russell grabs another win in the Modified Street Class. Picture here is Anthony and his new bride Lisa. Just to let you the readers know, Beech Bend officials told Anthony to add 400 pounds of
weight to his car before he races next week. I talked to one official that said it was because he was a second or so faster than the rest of the other cars in that class. This was not the first time this has happen this year, Bo Miller was told a week ago to add 50 pounds to his car. Oh well, Anthony congratulations on the win!

What kind of a deal is it when you have a class that don't have rules other than tires, weight (3000) and clams on the motor. Then when you win 2 races they make you ADD 400 pounds to you car. This really stinks!! Not saying nothing bad about Bo Miller but, does he have to add weight to his car. He wins all the time. How I see this is BUY Hammerheads motor. That's how the rules were made by the drivers at the winter meetings. Well I know that the people is crying is the people that don't work on there car. They just show up and drive the car on Friday. The good part about all of this is Hammerhead and Afterhours car has Never been scaled. NOW IT WILL BE!!!! THIS WAS EMAILED TO ME (ODELL)

Odell,
I read comment under Anthony and I thought you might want to post this It is straight out of rule book on very first page: Anytime the track or the technical directors feel any of the rules are giving one type of car an advantage over another car, weight may be deducted or added to make a fair situation. All decisions by Beech Bend Raceway Officials will be final.

I for one am glad that the bend officals are trying to even the racing a bit.
What winter meeting are you talking about??
Sounds to me like a bunch of cry babies! And some people need to spend a little more time working on their own cars and less worry about other peoples. It is NOT just a motor, weight, ect that makes a successful racecar. It is a variety of factors; Car (the whole thing not just one part of it (the motor), the dedication of the driver and team (you cannot have a race car with just 1 person involved), and making it about fun (not about complaining). I think that 400lbs is steep, to say the least. But as always a good team will overcome obstacles. You just have to work harder and prove yourself in an honorable way. So if you guys want to keep complaining maybe you should find another hobby! Or if you think it is the motor that is the winning factor for this car, BUY IT! Just stop complaining and enjoy this for what it is. A fun time with friends racin for love of the sport!
Personally i voted for and think we should have a 3000 dollar claim on the whole car. Then there wouldnt be any high dollar feelings.....
