POSTED 5/16/07 EMAIL FROM DOODLE
Well, by now I am sure some of you have heard. I have sold The Rocket. It may come as a shock to some and some may just not care. I have decided not to run a full time schedule at BBR this season. I do have the option of driving the car for the guy that bought it and I may do that every once in awhile. I have also had several offers from other people to drive their car. I may do that some as well. Whatever I decide, I know that it will only be a limited schedule. I have plans of building me a different car and running some races at Jeffersonville, In. at the Sportsdrome. I am not going to rush that process. I might go up some toward then end of the year and race but I am certain that I will be there full time in 2008.
I will continue to attend races at BBR and support friends and family and enjoy not having all the stress of driving full time and bring out the other toy...my Harley. I want to thank everyone that has helped me throughout the years. Without their help and support much of my success at BBR would not have been possible. I hope with your continued support that we can be as successful. I want to also thank all the sponsors that has came on board this year and years past and all the support they have provided. Again, I hope that I will have your continued support throughout this transition. This may or may not be the best decision I have made but to continue to have fun racing I feel I have to go elsewhere. To me the figure 8 is about fun and excitement and I don't think BBR is providing that to the racers or the fans. After watching the races at the Sportsdrome, I feel like that is where I want to race. I have talked with several drivers from that area and all have said they are excited about me coming and would welcome me there. I will not be at BBR Memorial Day weekend b/c I am going to the Coca Cola 600. I want to wish everyone good luck and remind them all to be safe. I am sure I will be checking in to see how things went. I will see you guy (and girls) in June. Good luck to all, Doodle.

Good luck with the decision that you and Angie made. We will miss watching you in the 8 but I undersand your decision. Hope you and Angie have a real nice time at Coca-Cola 600. If I need a driver I know where to come get one now. Now when you start driving at Jeffersonvill we will come watch.
Just for the record. I did not make Doodle do this...lol. We discussed it and this is what he came up with. I love racing and I enjoy going racing with him so whatever he decides to do I will support him 110%!!! Whatever makes him happy, makes me happy. It will be different not seeing the red and yellow #85 out there on a weekly basis. But it sure will give me some time to prepare my nerves for Sportsdrome. Thanks to everyone that has helped Doodle throughout the yrs at BBR. It really means a lot to him and me. Good Luck to everyone!

NO, IT'S NOT NASCAR BUT YOU WERE INTERESTED ENOUGH TO READ IT!!! I DON'T KNOW, IT MIGHT BE NASCAR THE WAY OUR PHONES HAVE BEEN RINGING OFF THE HOOK...I GUESS DOODLE IS A FREE AGENT NOW TOO. AS STATED IN THE POST..."SOME MIGHT NOT CARE"...U MUST BE ONE OF THEM THAT DOESN'T (ACTUALLY YOU DO OR YOU WOULD NOT HAVE READ IT)AND THAT IS FINE. BUT I DON'T SEE ANYTHING THAT WILL CAUSE YOU TO "LYAF". WHAT IS WRONG WITH LETTING PEOPLE KNOW OUR PLANS, THANKING FRIENDS, FAMILY, FANS AND MOST OF ALL SPONSORS? NOTHING!!!!! WE DO NOT HAVE CONTACT WITH EVERYONE THAT ATTENDS BBR SO TO KEEP RUMORS AND QUESTIONS DOWN I ASKED FOR THIS TO BE POSTED. IF YOU THOUGHT IT WAS SO FUNNY YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE TAKEN THE TIME TO READ IT OR COMMENT ON IT. THIS IS ONE REASON WHY YOU CAN NOT ENJOY YOURSELF AT BBR ANYMORE...PEOPLE NO LONGER HAVE RESPECT FOR OTHERS. ONE LAST THING. WHAT WAS THIS SITE INTENDED FOR? i will take doodle's autograph anyday. nascar or not. doodle is one of the best drivers that has ever driven at beech bend...you can believe that. i will support him wherever he goes.

ON FRIDAY THE 25TH JEFF GORDON WILL BE TAKING OVER DRIVING THE #28 AND DALE JR WILL BE HAVING FUN AT THE COCA-COLA 600! MORE TO COME AS DETAILS AND UPDATES COME AVAILABLE.
Every real driver that cut his teeth at BBR always comes back build your new car for BBR forget those out of town tracks support your hometown track and keep your money in B.G.Ky.
IT WAS NEVER SAID THAT DOODLE WOULD NOT BE BACK TO BBR. WE HAVE PLANS OF HIM COMING BACK. MAYBE SOONER THAN WHAT WE ORGINALLY THOUGHT...WHO KNOWS? I TOTALLY AGREE WITH SUPPORTING OUR LOCAL TRACK AND KEEPING $$$ IN BG. WE ARE GOING TO CONINUE TO SUPPORT BBR...WE WILL BE ATTENDING RACES THERE. WE HAVE CONTRIBUTED LOTS OF $$$ OVER THE YEARS. DOODLE IS NOT THE FIRST AND WILL NOT BE THE LAST TO RUN AT OUT OF TOWN TRACKS. IF YOU SUPPORT BBR SO MUCH THEN SUPPORT HIM IN HIS DECISION.
