Halloween Weekend Oct. 30th & Oct 31st
Saturday Oct. 30th we will be running our
regular Fun Day program plus the
Quickfuel Race that was rained out
earlier in the year. Gates will open at 11:00 with time trials starting at
12:00
1st Annual NHRA Kentucky State
Championship Race
Sunday Oct 31st BBRP will be hosting the
1st Annual NHRA Kentucky State
Championship race. This race will
consist of the regular bracket program plus a motorcycle program and the
Jr's will be split into two different age groups. NHRA will be honoring each
class champion with a special award which is unique to the State
Championship races. Gates will open at 10:00 with time trials at 11:00.
Anyone wishing to race the QFT race on Saturday will be welcome to stay at
the track overnight. The Motorcycle class will run the same program as Music
City.
Beech Bend Raceway Drags Update from Last Weekend
After not running a regular program for a month
racers we're ready to get rolling on Sunday. A great crowd of cars showed up
but mother nature had other plans at the conclusion of the first round of
eliminations the rain started and ended the day. The race was a total
rainout so hang on to your tickets, they will be good the rest of the year.
The SS/S Combo race that was rained out has been rescheduled for Sunday
November 7th this will be a total new race.

SALEM, In. - Bowling Green racing team of C & P Racing makes an entry for the Halloween 200 with local driver. Jerry Cohron and Jay Parrish enter their Chevy with Richard "Doodle" Dickens behind the wheel. Parrish draws the number 26 starting spot for his driver. As you can see in the top photo, Dickens in the Cohron Mechanical #85D Chevy was mixing it up. Early in the race a small hole on the rear tire cost Dickens to get eight laps down. With Parrish on the radio giving Dickens encouragement and Cohron in the pits figuring out the last pit stop, the team made an impressive finish. Dickens finishes 20th in a field of 45 cars starting the 2010 Halloween 200.

SALEM, In. - After 200 hard fought laps, Bret Hudson holds off defending champion, Chuck Barnes, Sr. Barnes made a pit stop late in the race and restarted back in the field. Then the caution flies near the end of the race. On the restart Barnes starts fourth in the field and moves up quickly. After the caution the race has only 22 laps to the finish. Barnes the defending champ makes a hard charge on the bumper of #00 of Hudson, Barnes was trying hard to make it four Halloween 200's in a roll. Hudson drove like a pro and holds off the veteran for the win in the Halloween 200. Hudson makes his home in Owensboro, Ky. The trophy will again go to another Kentucky racer in 2010.

regular NHRA Bracket Program plus the final TCI SS/S Combo race of the year

Brother of Car Owner passes away
Thomas "Tommy" S. Cohron passed away Monday night, Oct. 11. Tommy is the brother of owner of the #99 Sportsman car, Jerry Cohron. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Cohron family. May God be with you all.
