POSTED 7-26-08 NATIONWIDE TEAM TEST AT BEECH BEND RACEWAY TUESDAY 7-22-08
The Kleenex Nationwide series team owned by Wayne Day were at Beech Bend Raceway for a test section before heading to Indianapolis, IN. for the NATIONWIDE SERIES race this Saturday night at IRP. According to owner Wayne Day the Driver will be Brent Rowe. Testing the car at BBR was Justin Ashburn. It was real cool to see a team such as this at Beech Bend to test. This is why you need to come out on Tuesday nights. It only cost $5.00 per person to get in and you can see stock cars and drag racers too! Plus like I said you never know who you will see.

Thought I would give you the update on Josh. As you have heard josh had a seizure over the weekend, but he is doing fine know. Although this is going to prevent him from driving for a period of three months thus causing him to give up our current points lead. He will be back in the car in October ready for the southern 300 at music city.He would like to thank all of his fans for there support and will be back at B.B. in 2009 ready to take another shot at the championship.Meanwhile during joshs absents I will be doing the driving duties at B.B. Hopefully I can be fast enough to get out off the way.Our Nashville car may be piloted by a former bush series and craftsman truck series driver. We are waiting till after our meeting with this driver before releasing his name.

NO YOUR EYES ARE NOT FAILING YOU!!!! And YES that is BO MILLER AND YES that is the #3 open wheel owned by BOBBY WHITE. And YES BO will be racing the #3 Bobby White open wheel this Friday night. Plus to add to the Miller/White news, BO MILLER Will also be in the famous White #3 Late Model Friday night. At least that is the plans as of Tuesday night. Josh Byrns did not lose his ride by anything of his fault. Josh had a little health problem and if he tells me what it is and give me the green light to share his problem I will. Josh will NOT be in the #31 late model according to my source. Good Luck Bo and Bobby!

POSTED 7-19-08 MEDICAL UPDATE ON JOEY STANCIL
Modified Street Driver #10 Joey Stancil was taken by ambulance to the Medical Center last night. Around midnight he was taken into surgery. He was in surgery until a little after 4:00 a.m. this morning. Joey had a Rod put in his leg from the knee to his ankle and screws. He was to be in therapy today. He may get to go home late Saturday. Joey our thoughts and prayers are with you.
POSTED 7-19-08 WHEN RACING ISN'T RACING
What can I say about this deal? As a reporter of racing, Drags, Stock Car and etc., I try to stay in the middle on the road. I also try to like all drivers. But I do not condone using a car as a weapon. This is NOT racing. Drag guys seem to have more class than us stock car guys. Why is that I ask? The #10, Joey Stancil was leading the race and #48 Anthony Russell hit him in the rear end going into the turn (a NO-NO) not going into a turn, maybe coming out? Then #10 Joey Stancil later into the race hits #48 Anthony Russell in the rear. So, it should be even Right? But here comes #48 Anthony Russell across the middle of the track and in the wrong direction and drives right into the drivers door area of #10 Joey Stancil. Both cars crash into the wall but that isn't it, while Joey is hurt bad from the CHEAP SHOT of Anthony Russell, Anthony gets out of his car and takes several other CHEAP SHOTS at Joey with his fist while Joey is still seat belted in his car with a bone coming out of his leg and in much pain. Last year I saw Anthony try to hit Tony Rothe with his fist while Tony was still seat belted in his car. Is this a continous problem with the same driver? I have been around stock racing for many years and know many drivers that have gotten mad and have won many races but never used their car as a weapon. I know that Anthony and his guys will read this and will not like what they read. You will get mad at me and that is OK. But look guys it is now two years in a roll that your guy has been in fights with different drivers. So it looks like it is your driver that can't control his anger? Maybe anger management class would help and I am not trying to be funny. Suppose Anthony had hit him more in the door and killed him? For what a trophy and $150.00? I have nothing against any of you drivers, we are all friends, but someone is going to get killed. This sport is dangerous enough without this. If you post about this keep it clean or I will remove you. Thanks Odell (also post your real name please)
POSTED 7-19-08 THREE WAY TIE FOR STOCK CAR DRIVER OF THE WEEK
I started giving the "LOCAL RACING NEWS AND RUMORS BY ODELL DRIVER OF THE WEEK AWARD" a few weeks back. For this Friday night I couldn't decide between three drivers. So I am giving it to three of them to share. This is a fist for this site to have a tie. I guess that is cool because this was a first win for these three drivers. Lets talk a little about each ones race. First, Danny "GROVE RAT" Marr. Danny has had many second place finishes and just had bad luck or what ever. But this night Danny was in the right spot at the right time and had that Chevy hooked up. Second, Chad Willis. Chad has had some great finishes. He has come a long ways quick. With very little seat time compared to drivers like Bo Miller, Sammy Sanders, Mark Oliver and others. Chad had gotten a several car lead when the caution came out with #21 Kevin "Cuz" Lamastus spinning in turn 3 and 4. This closed up the field putting Bo Miller on the rear bumper of Chad. I must admit I thought it was over for Chad. I just knew that Bo would pass for the win. But on the last lap Chad keep his cool and won. Third, Jason Turner. Jason was in third while the #72 and #17 beat and Bang on each other. I thought that Jason would get caught up in there mess. The #17 hit the wall hard with just a couple laps to go. That is when Jason closed in on the#72. Going in to turn three on the last lap, Jason was on his bumper. Then coming out of turn four Jason passed for the win. I am most proud of Jason as a proud DAD. Good Job to all three drivers.

This was the start of the Modified street race. On the outside was #69 Rita Cline as she and #11 Danny Cline bang it up and Rita bounces off the wall. The Yellow flag came out and there was a restart.

Richard "Doodle" Dickens wins the Figure-8 race. Doodle drives for Jerry Cline and on Tuesday night Doodle spun in turn 1 and 2. After getting the car back to the pits found they had clutch problems. They worked on it all day Friday and couldn't get it fixed so Doodle drove the #3 car owned by Tommy Lawrence. Good Job Doodle.
