ODELL & MARGARET TURNER

Yes it's true!!!! Before there was a BO! There was a Darrell. You didn't think Bo was just gifted or went to Buddy Bakers driver school do you? No, he got his talent from his Dad. Darrell Miller pictured here at Beech Bend Raceway in 1987 and was taken my me. So for you younger race fans, there was another Miller winning his share of races way back then, but not too far back because I was taking his picture and I am still a young man like Darrell. Right Darrell? Ha-Ha.
I received an email from Carissa Phelps and she said that Anthony Russell will be driving in the sportsman class next year. Good Luck, Anthony. Look forward in seeing your car out there.
I took this picture at Beech Bend in 1987. This is Kenny Dillard in his #74 Chevy. Kenny was a part of a racing Dillard Family from Portland, TN.
I took this picture at Beech Bend back in 1987. This was the much younger, now NASCAR driver Jeff Green. Jeff raced at Beech Bend in 1987 before he had made it to NASCAR.
Before there was a B&R Racers Supply there was White Bros. Oval Track Supply. Bobby and Dennis White supplied us racers with many racing items. This was taken in 1986 at Beech Bend Raceway.
Two things here that I am very proud of. First and most important is my awesome wife Margaret, pictured here. She has been by my side for over 27 years. The next thing is this sportsman car that I had back in 1987. I won my first sportsman race in this car. If was fun to drive. I bought this car from Gary Spinks, it was the #5 car before. Fun, Fun Fun back in the days.
I took this picture at Beech Bend Raceway around 1987. This was the biggest little fan in the stand. This is my baby girl, Tammy Jo Turner. She will kill me for putting this picture on here. If you double click on her picture it will enlarge and you can see she has on her racing buttons, one of #34 Dennis "Zoomie" Oliver and the other is #1 of Leigh LaMastus. Sorry Tammy but I thought it was worth posting. Tammy is 26 years old today.

I took this photo at Beech Bend on 10-30-88. Left to right are ____Hall, the car owner and Gary Petty the driver of the car, all from Tennessee. I am sorry I drew a blank and can't remember what Mr. Hall's first name is. I also think he may have passed away since this picture was taken. Anyone who knows please email me or post a comment. I think Jeff Bush would know because Jeff drove for him too.
I took this at BBR on 5-22-87. This is Mark Reynolds getting his winning picture in his late model car.
This is a old photo from back in July of 1968. This photo was taken at the home of car owner Bill Miller, home pictured in the back ground. This #56 car was built for driver Irvin Leroy "Buck" Cherry to drive in Indianapolis, IN. but Buck was killed in a figure-8 race at Beech Bend Raceway Park in July 1968 and never got to drive this car. The men in the picture had just came from Buck's funeral. They are back row left to right: Porter "Red" Bush, James Harrison, Larry Harrison, and Harry Jordan. Front row left to right are: Donald Barnes and Butch Harrison. (Thanks to Rick Falcone for this photo and Buck's wife Glorianna Cherry Hawks.)
